John F. Kennedy on Leadership:
The Lessons & Legacy of a President
by John A. Barnes
Today’s business leaders have much in common with President Kennedy. They face monumental decisions in unpredictable times; their actions have implications far beyond their own organizations; and they are judged mercilessly and incessantly by both their constituents and the media.
The book’s illustration of management principles coupled with the drama of the Presidency of John Kennedy and his place in history provide a powerful demonstration of the fundamental principles of effective leadership.
- Pre-work: Read the book
Dialogues are conversations that go beyond the usual knowledge recall and application process familiar to all municipal clerks in training seminars. They are unique because they explore leadership principles and practice, drawing on insights contained in a book that all participants have read.... The Athenian Dialogue course requires that the book is read prior to participating in the course.
Cost is $125 for the Athenian Dialogue only on Sunday
Cost per night for food and lodging for Athenian only participants is $85
